 2010年MBA联考华章张宇老师英语试题评析

一、 命题方向性 

完型：完型文章的内容会一如既往的紧随时代，涉及热点话题。08年关于奥运，09年关于油价上涨，10年关于禽流感再次证明了这一点。在题目结构方面，今年完型试题淡化了语法与结构的考察，主要考察考生对词汇掌握的熟练程度及对上下文逻辑语义的理解程度，这无疑增加了试题的难度。

阅读理解：阅读理解文章选自英美原文期刊，内容涉及到经济类：金融危机环境下的艺术品拍卖行；社会生活类：婚姻生活中男女沟通；经济类：行业为发展而宣传的民众习惯的养成；法律类：美国陪审员遴选制度的变迁。第四篇文章的内容对许多考友来说是一个挑战，好在我们模考1A第四篇文章涉及了相关话题。如第一篇文章就选自于2009年6月6日 Economist 《经济学人》杂志（本文在普研考试中被用作完型试题）。当然，命题专家在出题的时候也进行了一定程度的改写。第二篇文章在国内出现的很多，其原文来自于1990年6月24日The Washington Post《华盛顿邮报》，原文标题为Why Is It So Hard for Men and Women to Talk to Each Other?。但是文章从题材，体裁，词汇量，长难句，题目类型，解题所需的思维等方面来看，阅读理解难度与往年相当。

翻译：翻译文章内容的专业程度较之往年有大幅下降，词汇量，长难句也有所减少，所以翻译难度大幅降低。

作文：今年的作文尽管有所改革，由两篇文章构成，小作文感谢信的写作应该是我们熟悉的，不会对考友们构成大的挑战；同时，大作文图表作文也是考友们非常熟悉的，考友们应该大有信心。因此，作文部分难度与往年相当

二、 命题的评价

    完型：该部分主要考察词汇，是对考友基础知识及上下文逻辑语义理解能力的考察。

阅读理解：传统阅读理解考题非常符合我们英语教学团队日常训练及串讲传达的思路。题型分布规范，各种题型分布如下：主旨题3道：25题，29题，40题；原因题3道：21题，34题，38题；事例分析题1道：32题；词、句意理解题2道：23题，27题；态度题1道：35题；细节列举题6道：24题，26题，31题，33题，36题，37题，39题；篇章、段落信息题2道：23题，28题；篇章结构体1道：30题。考友在解题过程中可以使用我们日常训练及串讲时介绍的方法和技巧。比如，第21题：In the first paragraph, Damien Hirst’s sale was referred to as “a last victory” because ____. 该提属于原因题，我们在文章第一段第四行找到本题的信息点Damien Hirst’s sale was referred to as “a last victory”之后，发现本句内没有表述原因，于是确定本题答案在下句As the auctioneer called out bids, in New York one of the oldest banks on Wall Street, Lehman Brothers, filed for bankruptcy. 华尔街银行倒闭表示金融危机的开始。由此可以确定本题答案为D。再如25题：The most appropriate title for this text could be ___。本题为主旨题，根据文章首段首句及二段首句考友们可以很容易做出正确选项C。再如35题：The author’s attitude toward the influence of advertisement on people’s habits is____，本题属于态度题，态度题的解题思路是“听其言，观其行”，在文章最后一句As this new science of habit has emerged, controversies have erupted when the tactics have been used to sell questionable beauty creams or unhealthy foods.中，作者先提到对此争议很大，之后提到这些手法已经被用来销售问题美容霜或不健康食品。由此可以看出作者对这种影响力持否定态度，故本题答案为B。

   小作文：系统班的作文课及串讲中我们一直强调信函的写作，并且给除了特定的格式和句式。相信考友们还记得 “I am writing the letter in purpose of expressing my appreciation for your …”的句式。细心的人一定研读了《串讲讲义》中“书信范例”的第二篇范文：

Dear President,                                                                                                    

   I am writing this letter in purpose of expressing my appreciation for your hospitality accorded to me and my delegation during our visit to your company.

During the entire visit, my delegation and I were overwhelmed by the enthusiasm expressed by your business representatives. I sincerely hope we could have more exchanges like this one so that we could be able to further our discussion to explore the feasible ways to expand our cooperation.

I am looking forward to your early visit to our company when I will be able to pay back the hospitality we received.

With kind personal regards.

Faithfully yours,

   熟悉了这篇范文，考场上要做的只是改动几个重点词而已了。

   大作文：系统班的作文课及串讲中我们一再强调大作文的三种可能：数变类（含图表）、优缺点类、问题解决类，同时我们从这三种作文常用的词汇、句子、及模板方面认真扎实地做了特别训练。相信所有考友都背熟了相关句子及系统班和串讲班两次给过的如下模板：

   （图表作文）As is shown in the table/chart/curve (As some statistics show), the number of 主题 was … million in 2001, … million in 2002 and … million in 2003. Apparently the number of 主题 has been on a dramatic rise in recent years. (（一般数字变化作文）The past few years witnessed a dramatic increase of the number of …. Statistics show/ It is reported that the number of … in 2001 is …, 2003 … and 2005 …)

What accounts for the increase? In my opinion, at least three factors contribute to the change. To begin with, the change is closely related to the rising income of the Chinese. With their living standards steadily going up, they have adequate extra money to afford 主题. More importantly, the change has a lot to do with the turning of the people’s attitudes towards and outlook on life. They have begun to try every means to ____. Finally, the change is enhanced and promoted by the government’s bettering policy in the _____ field. With the bettered policies, it is possible for people to _____.     

With the development of society, the increasing trend is bound to continue for a few years in the future. As far as I am concerned, it’s a positive/ negative trend and should be promoted/ reversed since it is beneficial/ harmful not only to individuals but to the whole society.

该模板稍加改动或替换就会是一篇很好的作文。

三、启示

尽管今年MBA英语考试大纲发布很晚，很多考友为此忧心忡忡，但是从考完之后我们接到的电话中我们能明显感觉到同学们的兴奋之感，我们为此感到欣慰。展望2011年备考我们将更加坚定的执行我们的备考理念：注重英语基础，培养学习习惯，引导解题思路，揭示考试本质，提高应试技巧，最终打造应试高手。
